Eric Jacobson is the co-founder of Get Local 123 and social media coach. Finding himself sick of the traditional “interruption” marketing approach to business, he was drawn to social media, visualizing the potential to create and engage communities. Since this discovery, he has become an advisor to many, working with small business owners, success coaches, restaurants and solo entrepreneurs; helping them develop social media and video marketing strategies to better engage with their audiences and maintain an endless stream of targeted referrals through social media marketing.

Eric started his journey as an entrepreneur ten years ago in the banking and finance world. It was the banking collapse of 2007 that brought Eric to his knees financially and changed his life forever. It was then that he decided to start living out his passion and seek his “Personal Legend”.

That started by being coached on what he would do if there was no failing, what would he do if all of the income was taken care of and there was just time, what was he put on earth to do. That lead to the formation and service to two non-profits, Dean at The National Institute of Financial Education and Executive Director at The Secure Student, both teaching financial education. It was his involvement in these projects that brought him to the social media and internet marketing world. Social Media was charged to Eric in these endeavors and he was left on his own to “figure it out” and soon found some very meaningful and life changing relationships from the most unlikely sources.

Jake, as his friends call him, now habitually walks through the open door in front of him aggressively seeking the life he was put on earth to pursue. It has been a fun and challenging adventure of personal transformation and discovery that he now leads other business owners through.

Eric was fascinated by the person he was becoming and knew this was the path and freedom he was destined for. He currently is involved in internet marketing, coaching, consulting, and speaks on occasion.

His passion in life is to help people discover and pursue their “Personal Legend”. He lives in St Paul with his wife, Mary and son Joey and enjoys golf, travel, reading, running, yoga and living like a ROCK STAR!
